The New Day is the longest reigning tag team champions in WWE history after successfully defending their titles twice on Monday Night Raw. They will face the team of Cesaro and Sheamus at Roadblock: End of the Line and the latest rumors imply that the trio is going to lose their titles.

The trio of Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston and Big E. defeated Cesaro and Sheamus, and Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson in a Triple Threat Match this past Monday on Raw. During their celebration, Woods accidentally splashed Stephanie McMahon with champagne.

It led to another Triple Threat Match in the main event with The New Day defending against Kevin Owens and Chris Jericho, and Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. The champs managed to retain their titles and became the longest reigning tag team champions in the history of WWE, per WWE.com.

The next day on the Tribute to the Troops show, Cesaro and Sheamus became the No. 1 contenders when the defeated Gallows and Anderson. The unlikely European duo will challenge The New Day at Roadblock: End of the Line.

According to Cageside Seats, The New Day could end up dropping the titles this Sunday. One of the possible reasons why is that the WWE just wanted the trio to break the record. It should be noted that Demolition has an ongoing lawsuit against the company regarding concussions.

However, it should be noted that it's just purely speculative and nothing has been confirmed. The New Day is still entertaining but it is the right time for them to move on. A possible breakup is on the horizon which might come next year.

As for Cesaro and Sheamus, they are the second most entertaining tag team on Monday Night Raw. They have great chemistry together and them winning the tag titles could lead to even bigger things. Cesaro might finally break the glass ceiling and become a main eventer.

On the other hand, Big E. has the most potential among the members of The New Day. Kingston is a veteran that might not get one final run for a world title while Woods could be the biggest star of the cruiserweight division.
