Madonna recently talked about Kanye West in an interview, in which she said she thinks the rapper is the "New Madonna" and the "Black Madonna" as she has nothing but high praises for the star.
Promoting her new album entitled "Rebel Heart," Madonna noted that West deserves nothing but a lot of praise for his work not only on stage but also off the stage. She called West as the new and the black Madonna as she shared, "We know, and recognize, that we have that in common. We're comrades in the envelope-pushing genre."
In a recent interview with the New York Daily News, Madonna said whenever she looks at West, she sees herself in him.
West and Madonna worked on three songs in the Rebel Heart album. Aside from West, she also collaborated with artists such Nas and Chance The Rapper. The album is set to be out on March 10, 2015. Also, Madonna worked with West's upcoming album entitled "So Help Me God".
According to E! News, the singer also talked about her having a lot of mistakes as she is only human. She referenced West's apology regarding Beck and his recent reconciliation with Taylor Swift after he ran up to the stage when both artists were given their respective awards.
Madonna shares, "I'm only human. I'd like to get to the point where nothing can shake me. Sometimes I'm there, sometimes I'm not." The 56-year-old also said that she knows how to stick up for herself and shut out the haters or the critics because they deserve as her motivators.
She also talked about her age as she noted that people always judged her and now it's about her age. She noted that it's "bullsh*t" and she frequently hears it from women and noted that she should be hearing support from them instead of criticism.
