Marvel announced The Defenders Netflix series starring Charlie Cox, Krysten Ritter, Mike Colter and Finn Jones.

New details and spoilers for "The Defenders" Netflix series will feature Sigourney Weaver's character role and Kingpin not appearing in the show.

Several rumors are making rounds regarding the possible appearance of "Daredevil" villain Wilson Fisk/The Kingpin (Vincent D'Onofrio) in the Marvel Netflix crossover after several fans asked him on Twitter. D'Onofrio answered a fans question by tweeting that there is "no chance" that Kingpin would make an appearance in "The Defenders".

D'Onoforio also answered questions regarding an appearance in Marvel Studios film "Spider-Man: Homecoming" as he tweeted that Kingpin is also not included in the movie.

While Marvel fans are somewhat disheartend on D'Onoforio's answers, it is not surprising that Marvel would not want to pack the "Spider-Man: Homecoming" with both D’Onofrio’s Fisk and Michael Keaton’s Vulture. Still, many fans would love Spidey and Kingpin to face off in one of the film’s planned sequels.

The "Daredevil" star explained that he has his doubts due to the number of characters that are already been in the movie, which will not do any service for the movie, Screenrant reported.

Kingpin was the main villain of "Daredevil" season 1 and made an appearance in season 2. Matt Murdock/Daredevil (Charlie Cox) was responsible for exposing and locking Kingpin in jail and helped Frank Castle/The Punisher (Jon Bernthal) escaped prison to find the Blacksmith.

In other news, cast member Sigiurney Weaver had a few words to described her character in "The Defenders" series. Weaver's character will be the main antagonist in the series and the "Alien" star described her a "nice lady", but sees the team as no superheroes, but people with gifts.

Weaver even teased that her character has an apocalyptic thing that even she herself could not understand, ComicBook reported.

Several characters were hinted for Weaver's role in "The Defenders" such as as Ma Gnucci, Headhunter, Typhoid Marry, Sunset Bain, Alexander Bont and Silvermane, to several terrorist and mystical threats such as The Enchantress, Madame Hydra, Morgan Le Fay, Monica Rappacinni, Ruby Thursday the Beast of the Hand and Mephisto.

There have been numerous rumors and theories that The Hand could return and face the Defenders in the Netflix series. The team will consist of the blind vigilante Matt Murdocl/Daredevil (Charlie Cox), Alias private investigator Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), bullet prood hero Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and kung fu master Danny Rand/Iron Fist (Finn Jones).

"The Defenders" will premiere sometime in 2017 on Netflix.
