iOS 10.1.1 Jailbreak Latest Rumors: Lucas Todesco Discovers iOS 10.1.1 Flaw, Revived Hope for Apple Crack Seen

The Yalu jailbreak tool for iOS 10 and 10.1.1 from Luca Todesco is released in beta form.

The Apple Jailbreaking community continues to wait for an elusive iOS 10 jailbreak but recent discoveries could point to a crack for iOS 10.1.1 instead. A lot of this stems from the kernel and root exploit exposed by Ian Beer which was also previously dished by hacker Lucas Todesco.

The latest report on a possible iOS 10.1.1 jailbreak coming breathes new life for the Apple Jailbreaking Community. Many were under the impression that an iOS 10 jailbreak would be out soon from Pangu following the final version release of iOS 10.2, Apple.com reported.

With over a week now gone, seeing a potential iOS 10 jailbreak from Pangu has left many doubtful. Some are on the verge of giving up while others are still leaving a small flicker of hope.

Compound the woes as well is Apple’s move to stop signing iOS 10.1 and 10.1.1 for all devices, 9 to 5 Mac reported. This means that Apple device owners who have upgraded to iOS 10.2 can no longer downgrade to the previous versions in an effort to plug up security holes.

With that, stakes have been altered. This may particularly affect Todesco who is being waited on for a possible iOS 10.1.1 jailbreak. Looking back at Todesco’s track record, the wait could be futile.

The best Todesco has done as of late is to show off via YouTube his iOS jailbreak measures. While such has given the Apple Jailbreaking Community some hope, the fact is that no official tool actually came out from his end.

It was Todesco as well who previously admitted that Apple did a good job of patching up iOS 10, terming it as un-jailbreakable. The kernel and root exploit could be a loophole right now. But like Todesco’s videos, that is no guarantee that an actual jailbreak will be coming out in the open.

The last working crack was iOS 9.3.3 from Pangu, something that came out some months back. No crack for the iOS 10 series followed with most updates ending up nothing as rumors but the latest revelation renders new hope to Apple jailbreak users.

Check out the video below touching on the possibility of seeing a potential iOS 10.1.1 jailbreak rollout.
