Wikipedia, one of the most popular and largest Internet encyclopedia, has released its 2016 roundup of the most edited English articles. The list includes entries on van Gogh, Trump, and the deaths in the current year.

Four editors have collaborated to update "Vincent van Gogh's" Wikipedia page that gained a total of 3,551 edits due to the large number of materials available. The Post-Impressionist painter's article is placed on the 20th place on the official list. The interest could also be attributed to "Loving Vincent," the upcoming painted animated film that focuses on the world renowned painter, which will be shown sometime next year.

"2016 Pacific Typhoon season" sits at No. 15 with 4,244 edits. So far, the season has produced 26 named storms, 12 typhoons, and five intense ones. At number 10 is "2016 in South Korean music" with 5,074 edits. This could be credited to the sudden influx of notable events and releases in the music scene in the Asian country.

Sitting at No. 5 is this year's "Republican Party presidential primaries" article that gained a total of 5,715 edits. Fourth place goes to "United States presidential election 2016" with 6,162 alterations, succeeded by "List of Hillary Clinton presidential campaign endorsements" with 6,527. The article about "Donald Trump" with 8,933 changes occupies the second highest slot. The second to the fifth places are all related to the recently concluded Unites States presidential election.

The most edited article on Wikipedia is the page titled "Deaths in 2016," which has been edited 18,230 times already. The world lost several well-known individuals this year, which includes Muhammad Ali, Fidel Castro, David Bowie, and Prince, BBC added. Gene Wilder, Allan Rickman and Nancy Reagan are a few of the other people who passed away this year.
