'Red Dead Redemption 2' rumors: Nintendo Switch version teased; Sequel to feature three playable characters, online mode?

Rockstar Games officially announced Red Dead Redemption 2 in th works for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

The latest details for "Red Dead Redemption 2" will feature three playable characters, an Online Mode and a Nintendo Switch version soon.

Several rumors are making rounds regarding the possible in-game features of "Red Dead Redemption 2" as the sequel is said to have three playable characters in its story mode along with an open-world map, stranger events, gang hideouts and an online mode.

This is somewhat surprising for most gaming fans as the game features are similar to that of "Grand Theft Auto 5" were in the story sees three playable characters; Franklin, Michael and Trevor. In addition, more details for the Online Mode will be revealed by Rockstar Games very soon, Express Uk reported.

Rockstar Games teased several times "Red Dead Redemption 2" will have an online multiplayer gameplay feature called "Red Dead Online" similar to "GTA Online". The company previously tweeted hiring new candidates for an Operations Manager, which according to the job description, the chosen applicant will be handling an entire project life cycle and that would also include the quality testing of for Rockstars' upcoming video games.

The company are also looking for video game testers, which have experience using Xbox Live, PSN, Steam and Rockstar Social Club. Another job post revealed that Rockstar is also looking for a .Net Engineer and is stated to placed on a team that will focus in improving online gaming performance.

Meanwhile, another rumored detail about "Red Dead Redemption" claiming that the sequel could be ported to Nintendo's new platform, the Nintendo Switch.

However, Wedbush securities analyst Michael Pachter is very skeptical over a Nintendo Switch version of "Red Dead Redemption 2", stating that chances of it happening are exceedingly poor.

Pachter explained his call of judgment from the specification of Nintendo Switch itself that diverges away from mainstream games. As such, Nintendo gamers will unlikely to get the likes of "Red Dead Redemption 2" anytime soon.

In addition, Nintendo may not have technology needed to make "Red Dead Redemption 2" playable to the Nintendo Switch, GameNGuide reported.

"Red Dead Redemption 2" will be release on the Fall 2017 for PS4 and Xbox One consoles.
