In the beta of the upcoming "Friday the 13th: The Game," players discovered that it is possible to kill or defeat Jason when taking on the role of the survival-horror game's camp counselor characters.
According to Game Rant, the players who were able to pre-order their copy of the "Friday the 13th: The Game" have been hard at play, trying their utmost in order to experience fully what the game has to offer. With this, players are slowly discovering all of the game' secrets in the beta environment. Chief among these is to find out whether or not the iconic killer Jason Vorhees can be killed by the Camp Counselors.
Recently, Redditor johno619 posted in the game's subreddit about their progress in their attempts of taking out Jason once and for all, but they were all unsuccessful. However, with the user listing all of the ploys they used to take down Jason, the user revealed in a thread update that the monster can be defeated, if the message from an anonymous developer is to be believed.
Regardless, none of the methods have worked as of now. So far, the only thing they were able to do was to knock off the villain's hockey mask after hitting his face with an ax. Even Tommy Jarvis, the recently released protagonist that supposedly killed off Jason back in the movies, was unable to kill him after shooting him at the graveyard or his mother's shack.
Meanwhile, Eurogamer reports that thus far, the camp counselors can get experience through the various tasks that need to be done in order to escape. Some of these include repairing phone lines, picking up weapons, barricading doors, and more. However, Jason's perspective is still unrevealed, but it is known for him to teleport to some degree, and his presence is announced through a musical cue.
"Friday the 13th: The Game" is set to be released in the spring of 2017.
