Thunder vs. Timberwolves Game Preview

The Thunder (18-12) are currently sixth in the Western Conference standings while the Timberwolves (9-20) are 13th. Russell Westbrook had another 40-point game while also registering his 14th triple-double of the season.

Westbrook helped OKC beat the Boston Celtics on Friday, 117-112. He exploded for 45 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists. It is also his third-straight 40-point game and he could do it easily against Minnesota.

"I feel like I come out and compete at a high level. I'm not sure about that. I know when I step on the court, I try to be the best player on the court at all times. That's what I try to do every night," Westbrook said when he asked about if he thinks he is the best player in the NBA, via ESPN.

The Timberwolves, on the other hand, lost to the Sacrament Kings on Thursday as they continue to slump this season. Zach LaVine's career-night of 40 points, six rebounds and two assists were not enough in the 109-105 loss to the Kings.

Minnesota continued to struggle this season under Tom Thibodeau. It is only a matter of time before Thibs makes changes and trade one of his young Wolves for a veteran player.

Possible Starting Lineups

  •  Thunder: PG - Russell Westbrook, SG - Anthony Morrow, SF - Andre Roberson, PF - Domantas Sabonis, C - Steven Adams
  •  Timberwolves: PG - Ricky Rubio, SG - Zach LaVine, SF - Andrew Wiggins, PF - Gorgui Dieng, C - Karl-Anthony Towns

Prediction: Thunder wins with a blowout, 112-94.
