Christine Evangelista attends the Entertainment Weekly & ABC-TV Upfronts Party at The General on May 14, 2013 in New York City.

"The Walking Dead" Season 7 introduced viewers to several communities where beloved characters lived in fear of the Saviors and Negan's (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) wrath. However, some Savior members may be plotting against the Sanctuary leader such as Sherry (Christine Evangelista) and Dwight (Austin Amelio).

The back half of "The Walking Dead" Season 7 is gearing up to feature a rebellion against Negan and his Saviors. With Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and his gang planning to enlist help from other communities, one person from Negan's inner circle may be plotting something against the said villain.

Sherry may be looking for a way to take advantage of her role as one of Negan's wives. In an interview with Yahoo, Evangelista mentioned how her character's decision to marry the said villain was a calculated move meant to keep herself and Dwight alive.

Despite the self-sacrifice, Sherry is determined to stay one step ahead of her enemies including Negan, according to the actress. She stated, "She's always plotting a next move. She's very strong [and] she's very determined."

Evangelista also highlighted how her character is on a path of redemption where she tried to prevent Daryl (Norman Reedus) from turning into a murderer like Dwight. With Rick's closest friend reminding her of who Dwight used to be, Sherry tried her best to look after Daryl while he was imprisoned inside the Sanctuary.

However, it is still unclear if viewers will see more of Sherry when "The Walking Dead" Season 7 returns from its winter break. Speculations pointed to the said character being instrumental in Daryl's escape during the midseason finale and how she might also help Rick's gang in defeating Negan in upcoming episodes.

Meanwhile, the second half of the AMC zombie apocalyptic series will be very different from the current season's first eight episodes. In an interview with Comic Book, showrunner Scott Gimple shared how the back half of Season 7 will feature a different "vibe" and episode structure.

"The Walking Dead" Season 7 will return to the small screens on Feb. 12, 2017 on AMC. Watch a teaser clip for the upcoming midseason premiere below:
