The commercial tandem of “Descendants of the Sun” actor Song Joong-ki and “Moonlight Drawn by the Clouds” star Park Bo Gum was tapped once more by advertisers to endorse a service.
Like the recent Domino’s Pizza commercial which played less on the bromance angle and more on the male friendship side, the duo’s Line Pay commercial capitalizes on the popularity of the two actors to sell a service, Inquisitr reported. The playing down of the bromance angle could be due to recent speculations about the gender preference of the two actors.
Best Bromance Couple Nominee
Song Joong-ki is also a nominee for Best Bromance couple in the 12th Soompi Awards 2016, along with “Descendants of the Sun” co-actor Jin Goo. After Song Hye Kyo’s birthday when he did not propose marriage to her as expected by fans, the 31-year-old actor was hit by gay rumors, although he did not dignify it by even answering the speculations or issuing a statement.
Park Bo Gum, although linked to former “Music Bank” co-MC Irene of the Korean girl band Red Velvet, is being linked to his male manager since the two have been observed by fans to be so “touchy” with each other, although the 23-year-old actor has been observed to be like that too with Irene also.
2016 Is Also Park Bo Gum’s Year
If the start of 2016 was Song Joong-ki’s year, it seems as 2016 ends, the two will again share the spotlight as Park Bo Gum hosts the 2016 KBS Drama Awards, with the actor likely also a nominee in Best Actor category. Meanwhile, Song Joong-ki or Song Hye Kyo are forecast by experts to have high chances of bagging the Grand Excellence (Daesang) award on Dec. 31.
Meanwhile, at the 2016 SBS Entertainment Awards, held on Dec. 25 at the SBS Prism Tower in Seoul, the Grand Award was given to Shin Dong Yup, a first in his career, for his performance in “My Ugly Duckling,” Soompi reported.
