Luca Todesco’s Yalu iOS 10 Jailbreak Now on Beta 4 Still Team Pangu JB Solution Not in Sight

Apple Inc. keeps updating its iOS 11 firmware ahead of its release this summer 2017.

The Yalu iOS 10 jailbreak assembled by hacker Luca Todesco is now on beta 4 and it remains the working JB solution available to jailbreak fans. To date, no word yet from the Chinese developers Team Pangu if their version of the iOS 10 jailbreak is still a go.

Truth to be told, there is no way to tell if a jailbreak tool from Pangu will still come out as the group went missing in action after demoing back in July 2016 that Cydia can run on iOS 10. There was no follow through afterwards and it can only be assumed that the hacking team was outpaced by Apple.

Since iOS 10 debuted this year, the tech giant has been sending out patches and updates on nearly regular basis that it appeared hackers were unable to catch up. As a result, no jailbreak release was seen from the usual providers, or most of them.

But not Todesco as the security researcher has been consistently showing proofs that iOS 10 is open for jailbreaking even as he stated the fact that version 10.2 of Apple's mobile operating system is a hard shell to crack. The dev has hinted that in the event of a jailbreak release, it will be based on version 10.1.1 of the OS.

And true enough, dev Ian Beer recently shared the result of his research that iOS 10.1.1 has a root exploit that can be used as a backdoor for a likely jailbreak. When the report came out, Todesco immediately expressed his interest to build a JB tool around the exploit identified by Beer.

Then days after, Todesco's Yalu iOS 10 jailbreak that iPhone and iPad users on versions 10.1-10.1.1 can freely access came out. It's semi-untethered, only for 64-bit devices and specifically for the iPhone 7 and 6S series. The jailbreak is in a beta state, meaning there will be stability and bugs issues to be encountered for users brave enough to test drive the jailbreak solution.

According to WCCFTech, the Yalu jailbreak tool is not for everyone and mostly designed for developers. And now that the JB tool is in beta 4, the recommendation remains the same - that it's best to keep a distance until Todesco has finalized the jailbreak tool.

Now while waiting, jailbreak fans need to ensure that they stay on iOS 10.1.1 as jumping on version 10.2 will effective shut the door on them for a possible finalized jailbreak solution, per Todesco. And they best take on the advice as the chance now is next to zero that Team Pangu will still provide a jailbreak solution apart from its last work - the iOS 9.2-9.3.3 jailbreak tool.
