Another filler episode will be heading "Dragon Ball Super" fanatics as episode 73 will be featuring the return of two of the mythos familiar characters. Reports are quite rife as of late that Son Gohan's other persona - the Great Saiyanman and Mr. Satan will be gracing the anime series early on in 2017.
The upcoming episode will air on January 7, 2017, as the show will have a short breather for the Holidays. The episode preview suggests that the masked hero will be part of a movie project that romanticizes his past exploits. However, a different actor will be playing the said part and Gohan will serve as the actor's double, Comicbook reported.
Gohan's father-in-law - Mr. Satan, is also part of the film where he will be facing the Great Saiyanman. It is said that by the time the production reached the aforementioned scene, the actor who portrays Saiyanman begged off from doing it. Hence, Gohan was left with no other choice but to do the dirty work.
Meanwhile, episodes 71 and 72 where the assassin Hit "killed" Son Goku are believed to be fillers of the show before it embarks into another story arc known as the "Universe Survival." There are even tweets coming from a DBS fan named Todd Blankenship about such news and even stated that the new arc will commence on Feb. 5, 2017, News Everyday has learned.
The tweet has an image of a Japanese magazine showing Son Goku and other well-known Z-warriors as if they are heading for battle. A noticeable character in the group is Android 17 who is in between Son Goku and Android 18. This seems to send a message to fans that the black-haired kin of 18 has already sided with Son Goku's crew.
