Actor Matt Angel attended the 9th Annual HollyShorts Film Festival Opening Night Arrivals at TCL Chinese Theatre on August 15, 2013 in Hollywood, California.

"Grimm" actor Matt Angel is in talks to star as the younger version of George Lucas in DC's "Legends of Tomorrow." The TV show is about to delve into the world of Lucas.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the prolific director Lucas will be played by Angel for an episode that will deeply affect the Legends, particularly Ray (Brandon Routh) and Nate (Nick Zano), in "Legends Of Tomorrow." The news got out in the wake of the reveal that the Time Master Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) is working as a director in Los Angeles during the late 1960s.

The timeframe for "Legends of Tomorrow" Season 2 episode 209 is a sacred one to many sci-fi fans since it marks the time wherein Lucas was working on the original "Star Wars" trilogy, Comicbook reported. It is also the time Lucas quits film school and never made "Star Wars" and "Raiders of the Lost Ark."

The latter films were the inspiration for Ray Palmer to get into science and Nate Heywood to get into history. Palmer and Heywood will loose their intelligence as the DC's "Legends of Tomorrow" episode goes on. Reports suggest that the reason for Lucas to change in direction might have something to do with Rip Hunter.

Based on the characters from DC Comics, DC's "Legends of Tomorrow" is from Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television. It will be executive produced by "Arrow" executive producers Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, Andrew Kreisberg, and Sarah Schechter as well as "Chuck" executive producers Phil Klemmer and Chris Fedak.

The Legion of Doom is set to make an appearance as Eobard Thawne, Damien Darhk, and Malcolm Merlyn operate the devious team. A recently released trailer highlighted the nefarious group and teased that the baddies had Rip Hunter in their captivity.

With plenty of new villains on its side, DC's "Legends of Tomorrow" returns to its new night and time on Jan. 24, 2017, Tuesday, at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
