Gohan is set to offer his services as a substitute in a movie based on the Great Saiyaman. However, the series goes on a hiatus this week and "Dragon Ball Super" episode 73 will not telecast on New Year's Day, Jan. 1, 2017.

This Sunday, "Dragon Ball Super" will not be aired on Fuji TV as the show takes a break due to New Year's Eve.

"Dragon Ball Super" episode 73 is scheduled to air on Sunday, Jan. 8, 2017 on Fuji TV at 9 a.m. Japan time.

In the upcoming episode, Gohan will be seen as the Great Saiyaman, after actor Barry Kahn refuses to attempt a difficult scene. Meanwhile, Jaco the patrolman makes a grave mistake as an evil criminal Watagash escapes while Jaco enjoys a bowl of ramen.

A movie is being made about the dream showdown, Great Saiyaman vs Mister Satan! An actor named Barry Kahn was supposed to play Great Saiyaman, but while filming a dangerous scene, Gohan offers himself as a potential substitute!!
