Nintendo Switch release is reportedly set on Jan. 12, 2017, but the console is already teased in some Australian gaming stores.

Nintendo Switch was first dubbed as the "secret console project" and often coined as Nintendo NX. People began speculating on the possible specs and features of the upcoming Nintendo console. The hype and anticipation reached fever pitch as the world talked about the gaming device.

According to MMO Examiner, Reddit user Meelow 100 spotted ads teasing the upcoming launch of Nintendo Switch in an Australian store. The ads teased that the device will be available in March 2017. While nothing new can be derived from this, but this could mean that the Japanese gaming company is adding fuel to the fire and increasing the hype since its rivals will be releasing new consoles as well next year.

Sony is reportedly unveiling three devices, including a new PlayStation, early next year. Microsoft, on the other hand, is bound to unveil the Xbox Scorpio. While Nintendo Wii and Wii U received positive reviews, gamers opted for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

It is suspected that Nintendo will announce the console on its digital event on Jan. 12 and will be available in March.

Aside from the console, people are also anticipating the game titles that will be available at launch and in the following months.  Nintendo previously teased that big titles are coming in the console. While not dropping names, it could be Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

Regardless, all will hopefully be revealed in a few weeks when the digital event happens on Jan. 12. However, there are wild rumors that the Nintendo Switch release will be delayed in the summer in order to accommodate the Mario Switch game. Nothing is official until Nintendo made a formal announcement and specs and features may change until the time of launch.
