WWE 2016 latest news: Disgruntled Ryback claims plans for next marquee stars shelved

Professional wrestler Ryback appears the World Wrestling Entertainment booth at Licensing Expo 2013 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center on June 18, 2013 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Ryback left the WWE back in August and the wrestler has not fallen short of stories to tell. His latest revelation has to do with Triple H who is reportedly putting his foot down to make sure that current stars don’t end up with the same star power as John Cena.

Triple H plans to put an end to marquee stars, one of the reasons why current WWE bookings are controlled in a certain capacity, Ryback revealed in the Conversations with the Big Guy podcast. Cena will be the last of the marquee stars though such seems farfetched.

For one thing, Ryback did not actually part the WWE peacefully. It was a rough-and-tumble divorce and most believe that the “Big Guy” was sour-graping. Also, it seems hard to see how Triple H can actually control the push of stars with Vince McMahon still technically in power.

Right now, most are aware that Roman Reigns is being given the push though the effort has gone for naught. The WWE Universe has taken exception to the predictability of the “Big Dog’s” matches, not to mention making him seem too invincible.

There are of course other stars on the rise. There is Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, Kevin Owens and Finn Balor. Given that list, Ryback’s comments would have been more credible if he used Vince McMahon instead of Triple H.

Triple H is the WWE COO so he does have the capacity to control the talent backstage. But then again, that is only to a certain degree since he does report to McMahon and the WWE board.

From a business sense, it does add up that Triple H would not want another Cena to rise from the roster. Cena has had his way along with other stars like Brock Lesnar and Dwyane “The Rock” Johnson, all of whom make periodic appearances.

For Ryback, he made it clear that he does not hate Triple H or McMahon, according to Wrestling Inc. He could return some day but it would take the McMahon to convince him to return.

The video below covers more on why Ryback left the WWE.
