The 33-second teaser opens with some of Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson's sexiest scenes as Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele. Some scenes from the masquerade ball are also part of the teaser.

New characters, namely, Leila Williams (Bella Heathcote) and Elena Lincoln (Kim Basinger) made it to the short TV spot. During one of their dates, Anastasia notices a blonde woman watching them from a distance. When she asks Christian if he knows who the woman is, Leila was already gone.

The next scene shows Christian's car covered in paint. This suggests that an enemy tried to destroy something that is very close to the character's heart. It will later on be revealed that Leila has something to do with this low move.

Meanwhile, Elena aka Mrs. Robinson will also confront Anastasia while attending the masquerade ball. The former asks the latter why she thinks she could save Christian. Elena will also tell Anastasia that a lot of people have already tried to save her boyfriend, but to no avail.

Towards the end of the short trailer, Anastasia is surprised to see Leila inside her apartment. She has a gun in tow and is ready to shoot her. Luckily for Anastasia, Christian arrives at her apartment just before she could get killed.

In other news, "Fifty Shades Darker" has also cast Eric Johnson to play the role of Jack Hyde, according to Variety. In the books written by E.L. James, Jack is described as Christian's nemesis. He will also be working closely with Anastasia and will try to seduce him to get back at Christian.

The two male character's history goes a long way back since Christian and Jack lived in the same orphanage. The former was the first one to be adopted so the latter became extremely jealous of him.

"Fifty Shades Darker" is slated to hit theaters in the United States on Feb. 10, 2017.
