On Sunday night's episode, Mariah gathered her parents, as well as Sister Wives Janelle, Christine and Robyn, to announce that she is a lesbian. Following her decision to come out, Mariah received countless support from her friends and fans online.

She posted a short but touching message of gratitude on Twitter where she also admitted to feeling overwhelmed with all of the support she has received.

Meanwhile, the Browns are huge followers of Fundamentalist Mormonism. This study or practice is not supportive of gays and lesbians. However, the Browns still showed Mariah support. While speaking with The Huffington Post, they said that families should also be allowed to structure their life the way they want to.

In other news, the Browns also made headlines back in October 2015 when Meri admitted to having a relationship with a catfisher. At that time, Meri admitted to not knowing that she was being fooled by the man who introduced himself to her as a woman.

Following her confessions, Meri also received love and support from her fans and immediate family. Her ex-husband even said in an episode of "Sister Wives" that he could be the one to be blamed for making Meri feel unloved and unappreciated.

In one of her interviews, Meri admitted that she felt very upset over Kody's decision to divorce her so he could wed Robyn. Even though she ultimately agreed for him to do so, Meri still felt something negative about it.

"There were times I was angry at you, Kody. I am not going to lie. I was angry at you. Because, if you and I had taken better care of our relationship, then I would not have been in such a vulnerable place and I would have been open to our friendships that would not lead to this kind of deception and evil. So I was angry at you for not being there for me," she said at that time.

"Sister Wives" Season 7 airs Sundays at 8 p.m. EST on TLC.
