The Voice Philippines judges Lea Salonga, Sarah Geronimo, and Bamboo rumored to perform at Miss Universe 2016

Broadway actress Lea Salonga and her co-judges in The Voice Philippines, Sarah Geronimo and Bamboo Manalac, are rumored to perform at the Miss Universe 2016 that will be held in Manila, Philippines on Jan. 30.

Salonga international acclaim when she starred as Kim in the 1989 production of "Miss Saigon". Her performance earned her a Tony award for best actress. Since then, her whirlwind rise to fame has been unstoppable.

Department of Tourism Undersecretary Kat de Castro teased on some of the performers at the forthcoming pageant. In a press briefing, the DOT Undersecretary revealed that it is possible for Kapamilya stars Sarah Geronimo, Bamboo, Lea Salonga as well as Jed Madela to perform in the event.

If rumors proved to be true, The Voice Philippines judges and coaches will reportedly join Filipino-American international singing sensation Bruno Mars.It may be recalled that DOT Secretary Wanda Teo previously refused to comment on rumors that Fil-American star Bruno Mars will be performing on the show. Mars will be the main performer that will probably serenade the candidates while they are modelling their evening gowns.

Miss Universe Organization has kept the details under wraps, but has revealed that Steve Harvey will come back as host of the pageant to be joined by model Ashley Graham. Rumor has it that a Filipina will be co-hosting the event, although no official announcement has been made. Asian host Joey Mead King's name floated, but the premier host confirmed that no job offer has reached her yet.

Thus, nothing is set in stone until MUO made an official statement on the details of the much awaited pageant.
