Asus has launched ZenFone AR during the CES 2017 event. It is the first smartphone to feature both Tango and Daydream platforms and is also first smartphone to come packed with 8 GB of RAM.
The Asus ZenFone AR comes with features that can take one's ideas beyond imagination. This is achieved through the augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) support available on the smartphone.
With AR onboard, the device gives the accuracy on how the furniture will look in reality by creating virtual image. If one thinks of playing games in the current environment or wants to try clothes at a garment shop without actually wearing it, the ZenFone AR provides options to do all these things virtual through AR apps.
Currently Asus have come up with 35 AR applications. This number seems to be limited, but the company will be introducing more apps in future. With VR onboard, ZenFone AR owners can enjoy impressive experience of virtual reality by placing it in a VR headset.
Asus ZenFone AR Specifications and Features
Asus ZenFone AR sports a 5.7-inch AMOLED display that has a quad HD resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels. The phone is equipped with Snapdragon 821 chipset.
It is the first smartphone to come packed with 8 GB of RAM. The phone's main camera features 23-megapixel integrated with advanced Sony IMX 318 sensors. It is equipped with sensors that allows the phone to calculate the depth. It sports 8-megapixel front facing camera.
Asus ZenFone AR produces clear audio experience as it is equipped with five magnet speaker that are coupled with features like Hi Res audio and DTS Surround Sound. It gives better experience on Daydream VR when watching a video.
The phone is loaded with latest Nougat update. The 8 mm ZenFone AR is the slimmest phone in the world with Tango functionality, Financial Express reported. It boasts 3,300mAh non removable battery. It has connectivity options such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and 4G, NDTV reported.
Asus ZenFone AR Release Date, Price
Asus Zenfone AR will be released in the second quarter of this year. Currently, no details have been shared on its pricing.
