Lazio has lost two of its last four matches to drop to the fourth spot in the current Italian top flight table, allowing Napoli to overtake them for third place. The team still holds a Europa League qualifying berth for next season and are only a point behind Partenopei.

I Biancocelesti was thrashed by streaking contenders Inter Milan, 0-3, during their most recent fixture held on the road at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium on Dec. 21, as per Daily Mail Online.

Head coach Simone Inzaghi's squad was not able to score any goals throughout the contest, the same with their earlier loss to Roma three rounds ago, as Inter netted three of their own.

Argentine footballers Ever Banega and Mauro Icardi scored one and two goals respectively in the 54th, 56th, and 65th minutes to complete the hosts' three-goal haul.

Meanwhile, newly-promoted side Crotone has continued to struggle in the Serie A this term as the team has been winless in five of their last six outings.

Their last game was on Dec. 18 and ended with a 0-2 defeat in the hands of middling team Udinese on the road at the Dacia Arena, via SkySports.

Udinese forward Cyril Thereau netted the two goals in the match in the 43rd and 61st minutes.

Head coach Davide Nicola's side was also held scoreless by their opponents as they succumbed to their 12th loss of the season. Goalkeeper Alex Cordaz was sent off in the 86th minute because of a hand ball.
