Imminent Yalu iOS 10.2 Jailbreak Release Confirmed by Luca Todesco as Cydia Creator Saurik Warned against Installing YUCCA Utilities

Apple Inc. keeps updating its iOS 11 firmware ahead of its release this summer 2017.

Luca Todesco has essentially confirmed that there will be an iOS 10.2 jailbreak release, which in fact will be a huge jump from the hacker's existing YaluX JB tool that is based on version 10.1.1 of the Apple mobile operating system. When exactly the iPhone and iPad crack will come out remains a guarded secret but the dev and Cydia creator Saurik have issued important advisories.

The next jailbreak is nearly a done deal but there are things to avoid in order to enjoy the upcoming modified iOS 10.2. Todesco said jailbreak fans will have to refrain from using any kind of Cydia Substrate enabler as the Yalu JB tool and the utilities don't seem to agree.

Specifically the Yalu jailbreak creator is advising against the use of YUCCA utilities, and Cydia creator Saurik supported this piece of advice from Todesco. According to WCCFTech, Saurik is "concerned the YUCCA package is so broken the only real recommendation I have is to restore your device to 10.2."

But since the act will zap the Yalu from one's iOS device, it's best to wait out for the next update from Todesco. "I'd also recommend waiting until Luca releases a jailbreak and just hope that when that happens iOS 10.2 is still a restorable option," the Cydia creator, also known as Jay Freeman, was reported by WCCFTech as saying.

Effectively, Saurik is giving his vote of confidence on Todesco's jailbreak works, which according to iDownloadBlog.com is "an encouraging sign," that indeed an iOS 10.2 jailbreak release is about to happen and real soon.

Yet as mentioned in earlier reports, the Yalu jailbreak when it jumps to iOS 10.2 will not fully work on the iPhone 7 series. It appears that Todesco's use of the KPP bypass technique, which largely is the core function of the Yalu JB tool, will not apply when it comes to the current iOS flagship smartphones. According to iDB, however, Yalu 10.2 will allow root access to the iPhone 7 that could soon lead to a jailbreak on the handset model.

For now, the smart thing to do for jailbreak is to preserve what they have - that is to stay on version 10.1.1 no matter if it is the jailbreak or official version. "To save their iOS 10.2 blobs with TSSChecker/TSSSaver," is also a good way to prepare for the next jailbreak release, iDB said on its report.

And the iOS 10.2 jailbreak release will possibly happen real soon as WCCFTech expressed confidence on its report that Todesco is expediting the finalization of the JB tool. "We're not sure when the hacker will release it, but what we do know is that he is working to get it out as soon as possible," the report said.
