If latest reports are anything to go by, Redmond giant Microsoft will launch the Surface Pro 5 in March.
However, the software company has not confirmed it yet. Also, at present, Microsoft Surface Book is on sale, therefore, it is possible for the Surface Pro 5 to be launched with a considerable discount.
The tech giant released the Surface Pro 4 in October 2015. So October 2016 appeared like the most possible launch date for a new model that is the SP 5.
At its October Windows event, the new Microsoft Surface hardware was restricted to the Surface Studio and the Surface Book i7. Therefore, it is expected that the Surface Pro 5 will be launched this year.
According to reports, the next Windows 10 update will not come out till the Spring of 2017 that led to several rumors that the software company will hold back the Surface hardware till then.
The Surface Pro 4 uses the latest well-known 6th-generation Skylake Intel processors. At the end of May, Intel said that Kaby Lake would release by the end of 2016.
According to reports, the Surface Pro 5 will come equipped with the Kaby Lake Core i7.
Microsoft may add a USB C port to the upcoming Surface Pro 5, CNET reported. Also, the Microsoft device will have a stylus that recharges wirelessly and a 4K display.
It is likely that the Microsoft device will support 512GB to 1TB storage SSD. The tablet is expected to run on the Windows 10 Redmond 3 version.
It is said that Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity and the camera of the Surface Pro 5 will get enhanced. Furthermore, several reports indicate that the Surface Pro 5 will also be discounted.
Meanwhile, the Surface Book that comes together with a 128GB SSD is now available for $1,349. The initial price of the device is $1,499. The Surface Book 256GB SSD is now available for $1,749.
