Rockstar Games officially announced Red Dead Redemption 2 in th works for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

The latest details and spoilers for "Red Dead Redemption 2" will feature a possible release date for the PlayStation 4 and the Nintendo Switch version not in the works.

Several rumors are making rounds regarding the release date of "Red Dead Redemption 2" as previous reports revealed that the sequel will be available on the Fall of 2017.

However, British retail website Littlewoods put a placeholder for "Red Dead Redemption 2" as the game will be released on Oct. 2 for the PS4 and possibly the Xbox One. The start of October does seem quite early for a launch of this scale, however, based on last year’s release schedule it would also likely put it out ahead of the likes of Call of Duty and Battlefront 2.

There is also the added problem of Rockstar Games of their track record of having to delay games. The first "Red Dead Redemption" game had to be pushed back a month to make way for further polishing, so even if Littlewoods were spot on the launch date, the game could still come out on a different date.

So far, Rockstar Games has not yet commended on the Oct. 2 release date as gaming fans will have to wait for further news and announcements from them this year.

In other news, its seems that Rockstar Games will not put "Red Dead Redemption 2" in the Nintendo Switch console.

According to game insider Laura Kate Dale, she told YouTube channel OBE1 during a livestream session that Rockstar Games will not put the game on Nintendo's new console simply because they do not trust them, WCCFTech reported.

Previous reports teased that "Red Dead Redemption 2" will not likely have one playable character as several rumors are making rounds that the sequel will feature three playable characters in its story mode along with an open-world map, stranger events, gang hideouts and an online mode.

This is somewhat surprising for most gaming fans as the game features are similar to that of "GTA 5" were in the story sees three playable characters; Franklin, Michael and Trevor. In addition, more details for the Online Mode will be revealed by Rockstar Games very soon.

"Red Dead Redemption 2" will be release on the Fall 2017 for PS4 and Xbox One consoles.
