Amidst the media craze on new Apple products, Samsung Galaxy S6 and Note 4 deals try to steal some of the media attention.
While the new Apple MacBook and Apple Watch are on the headlines, online retailer giant Amazon already offers Samsung Galaxy S6 discount, although the device was announced at the recently concluded Mobile World Congress last week. Consumers can enjoy 10% off on Samsung Galaxy S6 accessories sold in the website by simply signing up for email updates. The offer expires on Mar. 31 or until supplies last. The promo code needed to retrieve the 10% discount will be sent to consumers on or before May 1.
While it is confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy S6 and its curved screen variant, Galaxy S6 Edge, will be released in the United States thru various carriers and retailers, the preorder of the device has not started yet. Sellers are battling for consumers who wanted to buy the device. Carriers advised consumers to sign up for updates, while others have special promotions. For example, T-Mobile is holding a special sweepstakes that enables consumers to win a brand new Samsung Galaxy S6.
Pricing and available of the Samsung Galaxy S6 were not revealed, but a post from T-Mobile hinted that the smartphone costs $699 off contract.
Samsung's flagship phablet, Galaxy Note 4, also received discounts from two of the top mobile U.S. carriers. The smartphone-tablet hybrid device was announced in September 2014 alongside the Galaxy Note Edge and was immediately catapulted on top in terms of popularity.
Verizon Wireless offers the smartphone for $90 less bringing the price down to $209.99. The deal can be obtained using a promo code TECH30. The code also works to slash 30% off other smartphones like LG G3 and Galaxy S5. Meanwhile, Amazon offers AT&T Galaxy Note 4 for $229 or $70 less. The handset is available for full price in AT&T's website.
