Imminent iOS 10.2 Jailbreak Release and Other Top Reasons to Stay Away from Luca Todesco Yalu JB Tool, For Now

Apple unveiled its mobile operating system, iOS 10, during WWDC 2016.

Luca Todesco has indicated that work is underway for a possible iOS 10.2 jailbreak release, which should be enough reason for jailbreak fans to just wait and keep their hands off of the same hacker's Yalu JB tool. And there are many other compelling reasons not to jailbreak, at least not at the moment, a new report said.

Foremost, according to iDownloadBlog.com, is that the Yalu jailbreak is with limited coverage. As stated by Todesco, his solution will only work on 64-bit iOS devices with still many exceptions. At its current state, the Yalu JB tool is virtually an iPhone-exclusive jailbreak solution that leaves out for now the iPod and iPad, save for the iPad Pro series.

Todesco has revealed plans to make Yalu run on the iPhone 6 and iPhone 5S but there is no definite delivery date on this.

Another consideration is the Todesco jailbreak remains in beta, meaning testing is still ongoing and those brave enough to take the tool for spin are likely to encounter problems and instability. The jailbreak creator is clear on one thing - that there will be glitches ahead so long as Yalu is in beta state so for most jailbreak fans it is a no-go or try at your own risk.

Also, Yalu is not yet fully compatible with Cydia or for that matter with most jailbreak tweaks and apps. That being said, the jailbreak is largely useless for many and the only option is to wait until Todesco has finalized everything on his end and other jailbreak developers have made the necessary adjustments.

Yalu is not recommended too as the jailbreak is semi-tethered. That means the solution will require users to re-jailbreak their device every reboot, which by any means is a huge turn off. It's not clear though if the final version will steer clear of the same inconvenient issue as no word from Todesco on this matter.

And possibly the top reason not get the current Yalu jailbreak or skip it altogether is the recent hint from the creator himself - that he will likely bump up the jailbreak soon to a higher version. The chance is high that Yalu iOS 10.1.1 will soon be upgraded to version 10.2 - all cracked and modified.

However, there will still be limitations for the JB solutions like it will not fully work on the iPhone 7 series but there is no doubt that an imminent iOS 10.2 jailbreak release, as teased by Todesco, is worth the wait and a solid reason to stay away from the Yalu 10.1.1 jailbreak, for now.
