"Shadowhunters" Season 2 star David Castro recently opened about the fate of his character Raphael in the upcoming episodes of the hit Freeform TV series.
While speaking with IBTimes, Castro revealed that he had so much fun filming and working with his co-star, Alberto Rosende, who plays the role of Simon. In the series, Raphael is still developing his supernatural abilities, and Simon will be with him throughout the process.
"I like Alberto's role... I find him hilarious. Because Simon is now a vampire, I do have a lot of interaction with him. We have scenes together and it is a lot of fun," he said.
Meanwhile, Castro admitted that he never saw his character as a vampire, but a werewolf. "I always saw myself as a werewolf, I never thought I would be a vampire, always thought I would be a werewolf. Never, never thought I would be a vampire but I am and I am so happy about it," he said.
Unfortunately, when asked to share some details about Raphael in the upcoming episodes, Castro can only say that his character will be forming new relationships with the other characters. "He definitely interacts a lot more with the main cast, the regulars on the show, with everybody," he said. In addition, Raphael will also have plenty of action scenes that Castro thinks viewers love.
In other news, Raphael's relationship with the other characters is not the only storyline worth waiting for. Clary and Jace were once romantically linked to each other. However, it was recently revealed that they are actually siblings. This means that they cannot be together.
While speaking with Screen Rant, Dominic Sherwood, who plays Jace, said "There are more serious issues, and both Clary and Jace have found support systems in other characters within the story. So it is just kind of not looked at. We have just kind of fallen into, 'Well, I guess we are brother and sister now, so we will just do this," he said.
Katherine McNamara added that even though they will no longer be linked, there will still be awkwardness between them.
"Shadowhunters" Season 2 airs Mondays at 8 p.m. EST on Freeform.
