The Samsung Galaxy S7 edge and Samsung Gear 360 are on display at Samsung Creator’s Lab at Lollapalooza 2016 - Day 1 at Grant Park on July 28, 2016 in Chicago, Illinois.

Samsung may have another champion with the Galaxy S8 as a new leak now claims that it will still have the headphone jack. In addition, the new flagship smartphone will have no home button.

After the Galaxy Note 7 fiasco, Samsung seems to be making sure that their next release will be a hit. The Galaxy S8 is the next flagship smartphone from the South Korean tech giant.

Just like the LG V20, the new smartphone is expected to sport a USB-C port as well as the headphone jack. This would give customers both options for their earbuds or headphone needs.

The new Samsung Galaxy S8 headphone jack leak comes from an image sourced by Slash Leaks. In the leaked Galaxy S8 photo, the case shows a hole on the bottom of the device which is seemingly for the 3.5mm stereo jack. It also shows the standard Volume Up, Volume Down and Power button.

Another interesting but disappointing item is that there seems to be no dual camera setup. Another leak on Weibo, as cited by GSM Arena, shows that there will be no home button on the Galaxy S8. In addition, the Galaxy S8 Plus will be the only variant to hold the dual camera setup that is slowly taking over smartphones today.

The base model will reportedly sport a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display while the seemingly more powerful Plus variant will have a larger 6.2-inch screen. Both may have the usual Quad HD 1440p resolution which means that the Galaxy S8 Plus will have a smaller PPI count.

Just like in the iPhone 8 rumors, the Galaxy S8 will reportedly have the fingerprint sensor integrated in the screen itself. It would save more screen estate making for a larger screen-to-body ratio.

Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S8 specs, price and release dates at the upcoming Mobile World Congress 2017. The Galaxy S8 Plus may also have an appearance at the said event.
