LG G6 on 2017 Release Date Will Feature 5.7-inch QHD+ 2K Display, All-Screen Profile, Waterproofing, SD 835 with 4GB RAM plus More

LG G6, which is LG's flagship phone for 2017 , has an unibody design and a screen size of 5.7 inches.

Rumored for introduction via the MWC 2017 this coming February, the LG G6 is another Android flagship that merits due attention. And the latest reports indicate the handset is a supersized phablet with a 5.7-inch display screen and powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 processing chip.

That same SD 835 beast will tap on 4GB of RAM for sufficient support, according to iDownloadBlog.com, though upcoming rivals of the device are expected to rock with no less than 6GB of RAM provision. Nonetheless, the LG G6 is drumming up interest with its supposed sprawling display panel that stretches diagonally by up to 5.7-inch.

In a teaser clip picked up by the same report, the G6 screen is said to unbox using QHD+ technology that will allow video and image resolution rendering of up to 2880 x 1440 pixels. And the LG G6 display panel will even be more glorious as the device is rumored to follow the same route that Apple and Samsung are taking for their respective flagships - having an all-screen profile.

That would mean that the G6 will have a killer display that is huge but handset overall build is not necessarily big. "The company could accomplish this by eliminating the side bezels whilst drastically reducing the area occupied by the phone's front forehead and chin," iDB said on its report.

And like Apple's iPhone and Samsung's Galaxy flagships, the LG G6 will unpack baked in with waterproofing but exact specifications of the protection technology remain unknown for now.

What's clear though, if rumors are to be believed, is that the upcoming LG flagship will ditch the modular design that was introduced with the LG G5. Instead, the sequel will have an exterior that is a mix of glass on the front panel and a "reflective metallic material on the rear." With the industrial design revised, that would mean that LG G6 users will not enjoy the same removable battery that briefly made a comeback with the G5 in 2016.

As with all the other Android flagship devices that will debut in the first half of 2017, it is Android Nougat that will run the LG G6 show, which will most likely get a preview on February 26 or at the start of the MWC 2017 in Barcelona, Spain.

The actual LG G6 release date should be no later than March 2017.
