"The Flash" Season 3 will soon reveal Iris West's (Candice Patton) fate. In the previous episode, Barry Allen aka The Flash (Grant Gustin) found out that Iris will be killed in the future. In order to prevent this from happening, Barry will travel to a different timeline and alter it for the sake of Iris.
While speaking with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg was asked to reveal whether or not Iris will really be killed off. Unfortunately, he could not give away too much information. Instead, he simply said that the bigger question that needs to be answered is whether or not Barry will be able to get out of the different timeline.
Kreisberg added that there will be an episode where Barry and his friends will learn more about the future. This will give them an idea what will happen and they will have a list of things that will occur and that they would want to prevent.
"Their operating principle is can they stop enough of these things to change time? They have a little bit of a road map. It reminds me of Oliver's list. They have a mission every week to see if they can change the future," he said.
Meanwhile, Robbie Amell has just been tapped to return to "The Flash" Season 3 and reprise his role as Ronnie Raymond, according to Entertainment Weekly. Amell's Ronnie will be in the winter episode. However, it is still unclear what version of the actor's character will be part of the show.
Following the announcement, Amell's onscreen partner, Danielle Panabaker, reacted to the news. On the actress' Twitter account, she simply retweeted the announcement with a link to the article and captioned it with "Woo hoo!"
In "The Flash," Panabaker's Caitlin Snow was in a relationship with Ronnie.
"The Flash" Season 3 will return to The CW on Jan. 24 at 8 p.m. EST.
