Is the controversial Britney Spears biopic "Britney Ever After" produced for Lifetime going to receive its broadcast premiere in Britain on Feb. 26, Sunday, ahead of the U.S. airdate? The controversial biopic is in honor of the popstar's 35th birthday last Dec. 2, 2016.

According to Entertainment Weekly, "Britney Ever After" chronicles Spear's tumultuous rise to fame, fall from grace, and eventual career resurrection via her Las Vegas show. Spears did not have a hand in the project in any way, shape, or form nor does it have her blessing.

"Manson's Lost Girls" helmer Leslie Libman directs "Britney Ever After" from a script from Anne-Marie Hess, Variety reported. Steve Michaels, Jonathan Koch, and Joan Harrison are executive producers with Asylum Entertainment to produce for Lifetime.

The story of "Britney Ever After" tells a young girl Britney Jean Spears from Louisiana trying to make a name for herself in the music scene when her talent became undeniable at all those around her. While handlers soon began planning her every move, Spears found solace with fellow pop singer Justin Timberlake. Tragically, as her star continued to shine, her private life crumbled with her tabloid breakup with Timberlake and her parents' marital problems.

In the plot of "Britney Ever After," Spears' personal behavior soon eclipsed her pop icon success when she had a quickie marriage to a childhood friend, Jason Alexander. She later had an ill-fated marriage to dancer Kevin Federline, becoming the talk of the world.

Spear's life was spiraling out of control when she lost initial custody of her sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, and was placed under her father's conservatorship. Despite her past troubles, she has battled back to rebuild her career to its former glory here in Las Vegas, proving to everyone that she is a timeless force in entertainment.

"Britney Ever After" is a two-hour film that Spears has denounced and refused to authorize. "House by the Lake" actress Natasha Bassett will play the pop star Spears and "Blood and Circumstance" actor Nathan Keyes as Timberlake. Last year's December, the Internet pointed out that Bassett looks nothing like the midriff-baring pop superstar they all grew up idolizing.

"Britney Ever After" will debut on Feb. 18, Saturday, at 8 p.m. ET.
