'Injustice 2' new trailer, game details announced next week; Another DC character death teased?

NetherRealm Studios confirmed the development of "Injustice 2" for the PS4, Xbox One and possibly for the PC.

New updates for "Injustice 2" will feature new game details, trailer and possible death of another DC character teased for next week.

It seems that NetherRealm Studios will be announcing new game details for "Injustice 2" next week as three GIF post from different Twitter pages teased what appears to be clips for an upcoming game trailer and possibly clues on the main plot of the sequel.

The "Injustice 2" Twitter page posted a glimpse of Superman holding a lifeless body of woman wearing a wedding gown, which pointing signs that it could someone close to him. It is hinted that it could be Lois Lane, but then again Lois died before the events of the first "Injustice" game at hands of the Man of Steel, who was tricked by The Joker into thinking he is fighting Doomsday.

 The second teaser came from the PlayStation Twitter page were a post featuring Supergirl landing hard on the ground and the last teases came from a post from the DC Comics Twitter page featuring a fight between Wonder Woman and Supergirl.

It seems that Supergirl and Wonder Woman are on opposite sides of the war as another conflict from both Batman and Superman has been hinted and sides are drawn once again, Gamerant reported.

"Injustice 2" will feature playable characters such as Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Aquaman, Blue Beetle, Supergirl, Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Atrocitus and Gorilla Grodd.

Other DC characters such as Beast Boy, Starfire, John Constantine, Captain Cold, Black Canary, The Atom, Firestorm, Poison Ivy, Ra's al Ghul and many more.

"Mortal Kombat" creator teased that the Watchmen, Sub-Zero and Spawn will be added to the sequel as well.

Game producer Ed Boon teased chances of a PC verson for "Injustice 2" as well as, a mobile game soon, WCCFTech reported. NetherRealm Studios will likely add some RPG style elements in "Injustice 2" due to the sequel's Gear System. Gaming fans were concerned about the gear system as they felt it could affect the game's overall balance in terms of gameplay.

However, marketing manager Brian Goodman explained that he and the developers anticipated this and stated that they making it "intelligently" in order to present something unique.

Previous reports revealed that NetherRealm Studios confirmed that "Injustice 2" will launch on May 16 and hinting a possible demo or beta version of the sequel soon.

"Injustice 2" will launch on May 16 for the PS4 and Xbox One.
