LG seemed to be running an Android-based tablet behind the scenes after an unannounced tablet passed the Bluetooth certification from the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG), and received a Wi-Fi certification from the WiFi Alliance (WFA).
According to UH, the Android-powered tablet carries a model number LG-P451L, which is initially certified in Nov. 16, 2016 but was just recently listed in Bluetooth SIG. In the said listing, the certification ID of the LG-P451L Android-powered tablet is WFA68518.
The Bluetooth certification website did not reveal more information regarding the unannounced LG tablet's specs and features. However, the WiFi certification site stated that the device will be equipped with the latest Android Nougat operating system.
In addition, the LG-P451L Android-powered tablet fits in the category Tablet (Wi-Fi and other) regarding the information disclosed in the Wi-Fi Alliance certification website, which may indicate that the Android 7 Nougat powered device could be released in multiple variants, such as Wi-Fi-only models and network-capable models.
Unfortunately, the aforementioned details are the only thing known for the Android-powered LG-P451L tablet. In the meantime, customers and spectators of the mysterious tablet could take note on LG's previously released Android-powered tablets for its upcoming specs.
As of press time, the latest sightings in the two regulatory agencies, Bluetooth SIG and WiFi Alliance, could indicate an imminent official announcement for the upcoming LG tablet.
