Developed by Particle City, 'Titanfall Frontline' is released for both iOS and Android devices.

Particle City's mobile gaming spinoff to the "Titanfall" series - "Titanfall Frontline" Is reported to have been canned by the developer before it can go full throttle. It is said that it was due to the negative reception it got from fans including the gameplay it offered that is far off from the one boasted by its home console version.

News of its passing surfaced when the game's official Facebook page posted a statement saying that they learned a lot from fans through the game's beta release. The reception it got from players might have caused them to arrive at a difficult decision to eventually scrap the idea of releasing the app's final version if there is one.

Furthermore, the post mentioned that the defunct game failed to offer the intensity and thrill factor that is supposed to deliver just like the original titles. The developer pointed out, though, that they took into consideration the feedback that players have given as a reference in the event that they develop another "Titanfall" mobile game.

"Frontline" was supposed to be a card battle app similar to Blizzard's "Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft," though it did not get the acclaim that it aimed in the first place. In addition, the game has definitely veered away from the original game series that is known for its action-packed gameplay and superb visuals, Phone Arena reported.

"Titanfall 2", on the other hand, is slated to be getting a new downloadable content in the days to come and will don the moniker "Live Fire," Wccftech reported. The new game will be a 6v6 quick skirmish that will last for a minute for each round. Moreover, the game can be won by beating each of the opposing team's members or capturing the so-called neutral flag.

Meanwhile, here is a video about "Titanfall Frontlines's" cancellation:
