Actor Greg Vaughan attended OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network's “Queen Sugar” premiere at the Warner Bros. Studio Lot Steven J. Ross Theater on August 29, 2016 in Burbank, California.

"Queen Sugar" actor Greg Vaughan is returning as the fan-favorite character Eric Brady, while AMC's "Fear the Walking Dead" actress Lexi Johnson plays a new character on NBC's "Days of Our Lives." Brady finally returns home to Salem.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Vaughan is reprising his role as Brady on "Days of Our Lives." He first began playing his role in the NBC's show in 2012 and left earlier last year. His character is the son of Marlena Evans-Black and Roman Brady, and twin brother to Sami Brody.

Since his departure, Vaughan not only appeared on the Fox drama "Lucifer" but joined the cast of OWN's "Queen Sugar" as the series regular Calvin, who is a married cop and has an affair with Nova Bordelon ("True Blood" star Rutina Wesley). His return as Brady is set yesterday, Jan. 17, in "Days of Our Lives," TV Line reported.

To recall, Eric was last seen in "Days of Our Lives" heading to prison for the crime of vehicular manslaughter after he got behind the wheel drunk. He caused the car accident that killed Dr. Daniel Jonas in New Year's Eve of last year.

As previously reported, "Days of Our Lives" vets Christie Clark and Austin Peck also will come back to the soap in early 2017. With the arrival of Brady, Johnson will play a new character named Alana and will share scenes with Eric.

"Mother, May I Sleep with Danger" actress Gabrielle Haugh will play the role of Joey's girlfriend Jade Michaels in "Days of Our Lives." "Pimp" actress Paige Searcy formerly played the character and chose to leave the NBC soap opera.

With the recast of Jade in "Days of Our Lives," the couple will still deal with the pain of losing their unborn baby. They seemingly have a long road ahead of them as they figure out their next step together.

"Criminal Minds" actor Mike Ostroski is expected to play the character of Detective Carp and "Ambulance" actor Peter Janov as an unnamed clerk in "Days of Our Lives." "Modern Family" actor Craig Welzbacher will also return as the character of Myron, and Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins has officially wrapped up her stint as Hope's prison bully Sheila.

"Days of Our Lives" airs weekdays at 1 p.m. ETC on NBC.
