11street, a popular e-commerce platform in South Korea, launched on Wednesday a promotion to attract more Thai customers. To bring in more Thai shoppers to use its platform and mobile application, the company dangled a meet and greet with Korean actor Song Joong-ki.

It launched the promo as its way of thanking Thai clients after the store’s mid-2016 launch in Thailand as its fifth global location. According to The Nation, the Joong Ki Oppa promotion is open only to users of the 11street Thailand mobile applications from Jan. 23 to 31.
Under the promo, up to 70 percent discount card for Bt11 would be sold to Thai customers. During the nine days, a 70 percent discount coupon would appear for purchases from Jan. 23 through 31 done at 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. Only 600 coupons would be available during the promo on a first-come, first-serve basis. Only one coupon would be allowed per user.
The 70 percent discount coupon could only be used for a minimum purchase of 100 baht on any products on 11street. If shoppers would use credit cards, they would get additional 11 points and 22 points if they pay with Rabbit LINE Pay. One baht would give the buyer one point.
35 Winners
There are 35 prize in the draw. Eleven winners would get a Team Joong Ki t-shirt from the “Descendants of the Sun” actor and entry to the official launch event of 11street. Another 11 would receive Team Mew T-shirts from Nittha “Mew” Jirayungyurn and also entry to the official launch event. Thirteen more would be able to enter at the event to be held on Feb. 16 at Central World with the two celebrities, who are 11street brand ambassadors, personally appearing to give the T-shirts to the 22 winners. The 35 winners could bring one friend each to the event.
