Conor McGregor WWE News: Bray Wyatt, Randy Orton mocks UFC lightweight champion

| Jan 19, 2017 09:46 AM EST

UFC Featherweight Champion Conor McGregor reacts as he walks on stage for UFC 205 Weigh-ins at Madison Square Garden on November 11, 2016 in New York City.

Conor McGregor badmouthed the majority of WWE superstars last year as a way to promote his rematch with Nate Diaz. It worked since UFC 202 reached 1.65 million pay-per-view buys and WWE superstars still take shots at him in interviews.

Bray Wyatt joined the fray in an interview with The Sun two weeks before the 2017 Royal Rumble PPV. He was asked about McGregor's comments and chances of surviving the rigorous world of professional wrestling.

"It's a big man's game. He would be better suited to 205 Live," Wyatt said.

WWE 205 Live is a weekly show on the WWE Network starring cruiserweight superstars such as Neville, Rich Swann, Brian Kendrick, Jack Gallagher, Cedric Alexander and TJ Perkins. McGregor walks around at 170 pounds when he's not training and fights at 155 pounds.

Wyatt's comments are also the same sentiments Randy Orton had regarding the reigning UFC lightweight champion. When asked on Twitter if he can take on McGregor, Orton noted that he has a 120-pound advantage and the Irishman is more suited for 205 Live.

In terms of size, McGregor has no chance if he takes on Wyatt or Orton. "The Eater of Worlds" stands at 6-foot-3 and weighs 285 pounds while "The Viper" is 6-foot-5 and weighs 250 pounds. Nevertheless, these are all just trash talk between stars from two different forms of entertainment.

Mixed martial arts is legitimate sport while professional wrestling is sports entertainment. The WWE's outcome is predetermined but it takes a lot of athleticism and training to pull off different moves and avoid injuries.

As of this writing, McGregor has no scheduled fights in the UFC because of the birth of his first child around May. However, MMA fans can see him on January 28 at the EventCity Exhibition Centre in Manchester, England.

According to MMA Mania, "Notorious" will be holding a one-hour unscripted interview with reporter Ariel Helwani. He is going to talk about a variety of topic which might include thoughts about the WWE and its superstars.

McGregor is also being linked with a boxing match against Floyd Mayweather Jr. It will surely pop up daring the interview and the Irishman has a lot to say about "Money." For more WWE news, rumors and updates, follow me on Twitter @johnnyrundown.
