An elderly man tells how he lost his three-month worth of paycheck.

Have you lost faith in humanity? This story might just restore your faith.

We all face losing money once in our life. It can be in the form of losing it randomly or someone forcibly stole it from us, which is a very traumatic experience.

But no matter how big or small the amount is, it's always a depressing feeling.

When Zhao Ping, a worker at a local restaurant in Shandong Province, heard that one of their regular customers lost his three-month worth of paycheck on his way home, he didn't think twice of helping him.

Cheng Yanxi is a 70-year-old street cleaner from Binzhou City who frequented the restaurant where Zhao works.

On his way home, Cheng lost the envelope containing his three-month hard-earned salary worth 3,360 yuan.

Zhao wasted no time and launched a fundraising project via WeChat, which attracted users who rushed to help Cheng and gave donations.

In just a matter of time, they have raised the amount lost by Cheng.

Someone by the name of Lui pretended to have found "the envelope" on the ground and gave it to Cheng.

Cheng refused to believe the story as he saw the different writing on the front of the envelope. The original envelope has ballpoint pen writing and not a marker.

Lui admitted the truth and revealed that he and his friends raised that money for Cheng. The group also added extra 600 yuan so he can treat himself over the Spring Festival break.

Cheng accepted the donation and was extremely moved by the kindness and generosity of these people.

"There are so many good people in the world," he said.

Up until now, Cheng still hasn't found his original paycheck. Let's just hope that if Cheng won't have his envelope back, someone who's in dire need will have it instead.
