The next jailbreak release, supposedly based on iOS 10.2 and more stable than the last one, is rumored to be created real soon by either Team Pangu or Luca Todesco. But as the wait continues emerging events - version 10.3 nearing its beta release and iOS 11 rumors steadily building up - appear ready to overtake the ongoing jailbreak efforts anew.
While waiting for Todesco to fulfill his promise of sending out a jailbreak tool for iOS 10.2, iPhone and iPad users are getting a welcome distraction - the exciting features that Apple plans to deploy with iOS 11 and the inevitable jump from iOS 10.2 to version 10.3. The latter development seems more pressing as when it happens ahead of schedule, it seems unlikely that Todesco will ever come up with something better than his existing Yalu iOS 10.1.1 jailbreak.
And the same applies with whatever Team Pangu is rumored to be cooking up. With Apple moving too fast on issuing iOS updates, which of course include bugs fixes, the window of opportunity for hackers to take advantage of iOS exploits is being closed down, and quick.
Case in point is iOS 10.2 that seems to be a puzzle hard to crack for hackers. As the work continues to identify jailbreak opening for the iOS version, reports indicate that Apple is ready to release beta 10.3 as early as March. According to 9to5Mac, 10.3 in finalized version will come out by springtime and then Apple will move to its next project.
That would be iOS 11 and the mobile OS coming out soon will essentially make any form of iOS 10 jailbreaks irrelevant. As if to prove that the inevitable will happen, rumors are now aplenty when it comes to the feature upgrades to expect once iOS 11 starts rolling out.
There will be Theatre or Dark Mode that will only make the Jet Black iPhone 7 even more inviting. Siri is set to get significant upgrades such as greater integration with third-party apps and having a more human voice. The latter bump for Siri, according to 9to5Mac, is indicative of Apple's plan to make the iPhone digital personal assistant the eventual gateway to virtual reality (VR) functionalities.
Apple is also tweaking its signature iOS apps, according to WCCFTech, and such a move will benefit the regular users, for instance, of FaceTime. In time for iOS 11, FaceTime group call will be made possible, which is only one of the major overhauls planned for the iOS 10 sequel. Per the same report, iOS 11 will boast of UI and features that will be far removed from what were seen with iOS 10.
As mentioned, beta 1 of iOS 10.3 will be out by March this year and soon enough the official build will hit compatible iPhones and iPads. Then it's time for iOS 11, which Apple will introduce via its 2017 WWDC that likely will happen in early June. It's such a busy iOS deployment schedule that Apple has obviously designed to make it harder for the likes of Team Pangu and Luca Todesco to catch up with their jailbreak works.
