Lee Min-Ho, 29, has once again proven his immense popularity, instantly selling out thousands of tickets for his upcoming meet-and-greet event. It is said that 6,000 fan meeting tickets have been sold out in no time after it went on sale on Jan. 17.

Since the Hallyu star is due to enlist soon, many fans made sure to purchase the fan meeting tickets early. As soon as the ticket purchasing system for the Seoul fan meeting went online, the site deluged with offers to buy tickets. In just a matter of seconds, all 6,000 tickets were sold out.

The special event, scheduled to take place on Feb. 18- 19 at Kyung Hee University, marks the beginning of Lee's multi-nation fan meeting tour. The Hallyu star is expected to spice up the said event by showing a side of him that has not been known to many.

"In the midst of his busy schedule, Lee takes time to participate in the preparation process," MYM Entertainment said in a statement obtained by Yonhap News Agency. "He is very excited for the impending event."

Currently, Lee stars opposite Jun Ji Hyun in the SBS fantasy drama "The Legend of the Blue Sea." In the show, he plays Heo Joon-Jae, a cold-blooded man who uses his looks and wit to conduct scams.

The 20-episode fantasy drama would be Lee's last acting project before he enters into the military for around two years. He will enlist as a public service officer instead of an active duty soldier, according to Korean newsoutlet News Nate.

The "Boys Over Flower" actor was given a prohibition from the common military service when he got involved in a serious car accident in 2006 and in 2011 in the midst of the filming of the SBS drama "City Hunter." It is said that half of the vehicle he was in was crushed.
