Former 2NE1 member Park Bom had been interacting with her fans through social media. The singer, who responded to a fan on Twitter on Jan. 20, revealed she "still loves" YG. This was also followed by a post where she shared an entry from her diary which she wrote two years ago.
According to allkpop, Bom was asked by a fan on Twitter if she hates YG. The singer replied and said she still loves her former agency.
A day before this interaction with her fan, YG Entertainment's CEO Yang Hyun Suk revealed Bom was the reason why the agency decided to disband 2NE1. An allkpop article cited Yang Hyun Suk during an interview where he explained, "[I] decided on their disbandment because I believed that Park Bom's mental health was not well. After that incident (her drug controversy), the criticism she received was immense. Not only did Park Bom suffer from stress and guilt, but she also longed to keep promoting with 2NE1. I advised Park Bom that 2NE1 is important, but I wanted her to put her mental and physical health first."
Following the interaction with a fan, Bom also posted images of her diary entry two years ago on her Twitter account. The photos, which were handwritten notes in Korean, were translated to English by Korea Portal.
According to Korea Portal, Bom wanted to share her diary to fans "all over the world". The entry written on Oct. 20 revealed her admiration to her former agency's CEO Yang Hyun Suk whom she described as a "person of greatness", "smart", "with very good intuition" and "cold when it comes to business".
The former 2NE1 member added how she aspires to be like YG's CEO someday. Bom in her diary entry said, "Today is just a day to be thankful that there is someone like our CEO Yang Hyun Suk and that I have a goal in life (to become like him...and to work harder)."
In lieu of her recent social media activities, 2NE1 released their final song "Goodbye" on Jan. 20. Performed by the remaining members CL, Dara and Bom, the track served as a tribute to their fans who followed them in their seven years of being together as 2NE1.
