'Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo' stars Lee Joon-Gi and Lee Ji-Eun (IU) arrive at the 2016 SBS Drama Awards together.

Many speculations are arising about the reported split up between singer-turned-actress IU and Jang Ki-Ha. It is said that their break-up was caused by the involvement of the former with her "Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo" co-star Lee Joon-Gi.

IU and Jang's romance was introduced to the public in October 2015 after they were caught on dates at each other's residence. They had a brief split and shortly decided to get together again.

However, fresh reports indicate that Jang and IU have ended their romantic relationship for good. In the midst of the break-up news, fans keep pointing out that the latter is currently dating Lee, who was also in the cast of "Scholar Who Walks the Night."

The actor's agency quickly made a statement to address the dating rumors, claiming that the two are just friends and nothing more. While the label did not think it was necessary to respond to the claims, many individuals continue commenting on Lee's social media account about it.

"It is not true that they are dating," Namoo Actors said in a press statement obtained by Soompi. "They became quite close while working together, and it seems that's why the rumors began, but all the cast members of 'Scarlet Heart: Goryeo' are close. We hope there are no further misunderstandings."

In the 20-episode historical drama, Lee and IU portrayed 4th Prince Wang So and Hae Soo, respectively. Due to the undeniable on-screen chemistry and romance they have shown, the two received the Best Couple Award at the 2016 SBS Drama Awards, according to Korean newsoutlet Star News.

In his acceptance speech, Lee expressed deep gratitude towards everyone, especially those who supported him from the beginning. He said that none of this would be possible without the constant support of his fans across the globe.

IU also talked about winning the Best Couple Award. Though she did not expect to win, the singer-turned-actress admitted she is truly happy to receive the said award. She then thanked her co-star for helping her wrap up the Hae Soo character beautifully.
