'Resident Evil 7: Biohazard' is a survival horror video game developed and published by Capcom.

The release of the new "Resident Evil" 7 game has been met with a generally positive reception. However, it seems that there are no plans for it on the upcoming Nintendo Switch console.

In an interview with Express, producer Masachika Kawata and director Koshi Nakanishi spoke about the viability of the Nintendo Switch. Unfortunately, it is not looking good for the Nintendo Switch platform, as Kawata explained that the Switch is a very unique hardware.

Also, Kawata said that he is currently looking at the system's possibilities, but he admits that there are currently no plans to make a Nintendo Switch version of the "Resident Evil 7" game. While it is clear that the game will not be released on the Switch, it does not mean that it will not happen in the near future.

It was expected for Capcom to be cautious about the Switch, despite its strong, profitable relationship with Nintendo, according to Game RantAfter all, the Wii U had been a flop in terms of sales, so it could be possible that the company is just waiting for the new console to develop a large fan base before porting their Triple-A titles.

The Wii U's abyssal performance was possibly caused by the lack of support from third-party publishers like EA, Ubisoft, and Capcom. Nintendo is trying to dispel the common misconception that the Switch will only cater on first-party games, but companies are still wary of the console.

The wait-and-see approach made by third-party publishers has left Nintendo Switch with just six games on its launch date, and most of its future games are mostly coming from Nintendo itself. Competing with PS4 and Xbox One will only be possible once the Switch secures big third-party titles such as "Resident Evil 7" and the like.

"Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" is now available for PS4,PS VR, PC and Xbox One. Here is a video of the latest game trailer:
