Rumors were afloat that Mandy Moore and boyfriend Taylor Goldsmith are already planning to start a family soon. It comes after the 32-year-old singer-turned-actress admitted she wanted to have children sooner than later.
In an interview with E! News at the Elle Women in Television dinner on Jan. 19, Moore admitted she was extremely worried about not being able to relate to her "This Is Us'" character in light of the fact that she is not a mother. In the show, she plays a mother of three, Rebecca Pearson.
"I feel like deep down, the soul of who this woman is I'm familiar with," Moore said. "I feel a kinship with her. What I was most concerned about was feeling maternal, not having children myself, but being part of a project like this definitely makes my ovaries start kicking."
When inquired as to whether or nor she is planning on having kids with her singer boyfriend, the brunette beauty stated, "Maybe, I want kids sooner than later." However, it seems that the "A Walk to Remember" actress will not be slowing down anytime soon as the critically acclaimed NBC series was just renewed for a second and third season, with both seasons comprising of 18 episodes.
"We all got our wish that this is a hit show," NBC entertainment president Jennifer Salke said in a statement obtained by TV Line. "'This Is Us' is as good as anything we've ever had, we're thrilled to renew it for two seasons and there's no doubt it will have a long life on NBC."
On behalf of everyone at NBC, president Sake is thankful for the artistry of the cast, staff, and producers gathered by creator Dan Fogelman. In a world where there are hundreds of different television dramas, the network is said to be proud to have one of the best and highest-rated series, it added.
