Iron Man's arm is shown in 'The Avengers Project' teaser.

After Marvel's collaboration with Capcom in the upcoming "Marvel vs Capcom Infinite," the comic book company is teaming up with another Japanese game maker for a project that could become one of the best Marvel-based games. Marvel has just announced that they will be making and "Avengers" game and they have tapped Square Enix to spearhead the endeavor.

Alongside Square Enix are equally acclaimed game makers Eidos Montreal and Crystal Dynamics that will develop the merger's first offering initially dubbed "The Avengers Project." Marvel even posted a 50-second clip hinting of such although information about it are still difficult to come by as of late.

In a statement obtained by Kotaku, "The Avengers Project" will be developed for players and fans of the Marvel mythos from all over. The game will have an original story plot and will showcase all the characters and the superhero team's memorable moments that have fascinated faithfuls through the years.

Just like the details of the game, its release date is pretty much far fetched. However, game critics believe that the game could be out sometime in 2018 which is also the release window for the next "Avengers" film "Infinity War."  The game will be having its own storyline and the events of "The Avengers Project" could transpire in another alternate reality just like in the comics.

Meanwhile, it is uncertain if the characters' likeness on the film series will be featured in the game since they are licensed under Disney, according to Polygon. The said partnership is a multi-game deal so it is quite viable that other Marvel characters will be featured in future projects after the newly hinted "Avengers" game has been released.

Superheroes like Spider-Man, Fantastic Four and the X-Men are likely to be seen in the years to come since Marvel still has the video game rights to the aforementioned franchises. Here is the recently released announcement trailer for "The Avengers Project:"
