Bliss n Eso perform live during the 27th Annual ARIA Awards 2013 at the Star on December 1, 2013 in Sydney, Australia.

A recent filming of a music video for an Australian hip hop band ended tragically when one of its actors was shot dead. Gold Coast stuntman Johann Ofner, 28, was hit in the chest by a gunshot during the making of the music video at a bar in Brisbane on Jan. 23, Monday. The shooting was said to be a workplace accident.

The music video was for the Sydney-based hip hop group Bliss n Eso which was not present during the filming. The incident is still under investigation and the people associated with the filming could not give further comments. The Brooklyn Standard bar, which rented out for the music video and where the incident occurred, was closed to the public, according to The Telegraph.

Ofner was suffering from two fatal wounds in his chest, News.com.au reported. The production crew of the music video was almost done with the filming when Ofner got his mortal wounds.

The stuntman from Gold Coast never made it to the hospital. He died where he was shot on the floor of the Brisbane underground bar.

The police found several firearms used during the filming but the investigation cannot still say if the firearms were real and the type of ammunition used. Other than Ofner, no other people were injured.

Bliss n Eso is working on a new album due to release in March and the filmed music video was for their new song "Friend Like You." The group, which is composed of three members, was formed in the late 1990s and had their first album release in 2000.

Bliss n Eso is the most successful hip hop act in Australia with two albums that topped the charts.  One was released in 2010 and the other in 2013.

The members of Bliss N Eso MC Bliss aka Jonathan Notley, MC Eso aka Max MacKinnon and DJ Izm Tarik Ejjamai are high school friends in Sydney. They have toured outside Australia but are more locally successful with several music awards. Their upcoming album, "Off the Grid" which is their sixth, is set for release in March.
