"Poldark" Season 3 is fast approaching and fans are going wild with speculations about what's to come for Ross, Demelza and Elizabeth. The third season will follow the events of the second, which means more of the repercussions from Ross and Elizabeth's short affair could be the main conflict in the new season. Elizabeth is pregnant
One of the big bombshell's that is coming in "Poldark" Season 3 is that Elizabeth's rumored pregnancy. Following their intimate encounter in the previous season, there is strong suspicion that Ross may be the father of Elizabeth's baby.
There are speculations that George Warleggan, Ross' rival and Elizabeth's husband, will not take the news lightly and will do whatever it takes to bring Ross down.
According to Express, actress Heida Reed was sported wearing a baby bump while filming for "Poldark" Season 3. She also revealed that Elizabeth's love affair with Ross did not end in Season 2 and that there is more to come in Season 3.
"That triangle continues. Let's just say there are some actions and consequences," Reed said in an interview.
Demelza is also pregnant
Demelza suffered a miscarriage in "Poldark" Season 2, but it appears Demelza and Ross gets another shot at having a complete family in the upcoming season. New photos from the set of "Poldark" Season 3 showed actress Eleanor Tomlinson looking down at her burgeoning baby bump.
According to some rumors, although Demelza initially threatened to leave Ross due to his infidelity, she will eventually forgive Ross for his idiocy. After all, Ross has promised Demelza that his "true, real and abiding love" is for Demelza, and not for Elizabeth.
However, Demelza may still harbor some ill feelings toward Elizabeth in the third season run.
New characters are joining
"Poldark" Season 3 will begin with some new characters and new love interests. "We're thrilled to be kicking off series three with a fantastic array of new characters and a story which scales new heights of conflict, feuding, passion and drama," Digital Spy quoted the writer Debbie Horsfield as saying.
"Ross is older but not necessary wiser, and his recklessness sometimes costs him, and his loved ones, dear. We're in for a rollercoaster ride where the stakes have never been higher."
