As expected, "Poldark" Season 2 have drawn in fans deeper into the period drama set in 18th century Cornwall. "Poldark" Season 2 episode 3 delved into Ross Poldark's trial and a different side to the lead hero.
In "Poldark" Season 2 episode 3, Ross somewhat reignited his past feelings for Elizabeth as the two engaged in some late-night flirting. At the harvest party and after Francis had gone upstairs to rest, Ross approached Elizabeth and told her, "I remember a time you were already perfect... to me, I mean." Naturally, Demelza didn't like Ross' behavior at all.
What's more, Ross also sold Demelza's jewelry in order to pay a debt worth £400. If any, that's a tell-tale sign of trouble brewing for the couple in the coming episodes of "Poldark" Season 2.
In the recently released "Poldark" Season 2 episode 4 trailer, a strain in Ross and Demelza's relationship begins to develop. Ross' seeming interest in Elizabeth is definitely not being ignored by Demelza.
According to SpoilerTV, both Ross and Demelza are strong-willed, and it might not help patch things up for them. Both will be taking risks for their family and relationship, but Ross will be taking a more massive leap than Demelza.
The precedent seen in episode 3 is only the beginning, and there will be more drama in store. This was previously hinted by actor Aiden Turner, who revealed that Ross and Elizabeth still have "unfinished business."
"It feels like there is unfinished business [with Elizabeth], and he's idealized her for so long," Turner said, as quoted by The Salt Lake Tribune. "He would have thought about her every day on the battlefields of Virginia, and to come home and to not have her, to not be able to tell her how he feels, to not be able to hold her, to marry her, to see himself living with her, it was probably very difficult. And he can't quite get over that."
However, he clarified that Ross is "absolutely in love with Demelza," although right now, the character is contemplating whether it is possible to be in love with more than one person. Right now, Elizabeth is married to Ross' cousin, Francis. The couple is very happy and in love. This would complicate the love triangle even more.
"Poldark" Season 2 episode 4 will be aired on Sept. 25.
