(L-R) Actors Natalia Dyer, Noah Schnapp, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Caleb McLaughlin and Gaten Matarazzo of 'Stranger Things' attend the BUILD Series at AOL HQ on August 31, 2016 in New York City.

News reports about "Stranger Things" Season 2 are definitely heating up, with information about the plot unveiling itself little by little. Although some of the stars have been tight-lipped about what's to come on the show, some have been relatively generous about spoilers.

David Harbour, who plays Sheriff Hopper on the Netflix show, gave a briefer on what is about to go down in the little town of Hawkins, Indiana when viewers return for the second season.

"There are certain people in the town that know what happened, and then certain people that don't know what happened. So there's a lot of fall out with who knows what," Cinema Blend quoted Harbour as saying.

Although Will Byers has returned to the real world after having been stuck in the Upside Down for a long time, the show's main characters will deal with the repercussions to follow the events in "Stranger Things" Season 1. The show left some lose ends, especially with the government's involvement in the whole shebang. There is also the question of how Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) will return to the human world, given how she disappeared into thin air after sacrificing her life to defeat the Demogorgon.

As the show delves deeper into the superhuman aspect of "Stranger Things," more people turn up on the show, particularly those who have ties with the mysterious operations in the Hawkins lab.

Some of the new characters will provide tension for the relationships in the show. For one, Sean Astin will be playing Joyce Byers and Hopper's former classmate, Bob Newby. According to The Wrap, he will be introduced as Joyce's boyfriend when Season 2 rolls in. This spells a love triangle in the making.

Speaking of love triangles, things are not over for the Steve-Nancy-Jonathan saga. Harbor revealed that in the script for Season 2, the trio is very "three-dimensional." On the other hand, Brown revealed that "anything can happen" with the three. There are rumblings that Nancy would give Jonathan a second chance in the new season or a new boy in town would shake up Steve and Nancy's relationship.

"Stranger Things" Season 2 has been set for a July 2017 release date on Netflix.
