AMD Ryzen 5 1600X will be faster and cheaper: Report

AMD Ryzen and AMD Vega specs, price, and release date have seen a tremendous update the past weeks. This time around, AMD itself has confirmed some specifics regarding the release date of their CPU and GPU devices.

After some speculations about the release date for AMD's CPU and GPU, the company finally commented on the highly speculated topic.  The first quarter and second quarter of this year would be quite busy for AMD, according to Forbes.

The availability of Summit Ridge 3, Summit Ridge 5, and Summit Ridge 7 processors are set in early March. On the other hand, AMD CEO Lisa Su also mentioned that AMD's next graphics card is expected to hit the market in the second quarter of this year.

With the given time frame, it would not be too long for some gamers to defect from Intel. Some enthusiasts have already expressed their interest in various social media platforms and forum sites for the upcoming AMD Ryzen and AMD Vega devices, especially if it would be within the reported $500 price range.

Having the opportunity to purchase the power like that of Intel's 6900k processor while spending less, it is expected by experts that AMD's market influence will increase this year. Intel itself even acknowledged a stiff competition with the arrival of Ryzen in the market, according to Computer World.

The recent display of performance of AMD's 8-core, 16 thread un-boosted 3.4Ghz processor has attracted the interest of consumers for being slightly better than that of Intel's 6900K 3.2-3.7Ghz with a turbo. This increasing interest could lead PC makers like Dell's Alienware and Falcon Northwest to incorporate Ryzen chips in gaming PCs as mentioned by the same website.

Meanwhile, AMD's upcoming processor has been recently reported to be of two segments only. The SR3 and SR5 would be a quad core processor, while SR7 has been confirmed to be the high end 8 core flagship.
